How much time do I have to give?
It is more manageable than you might think.
CASA volunteers are required to visit their assigned child at least once each month and stay connected to their case. You will also spend time gathering information, communicating with the people involved in the child’s life, and preparing for court hearings.
Some months may require a little more time than others, particularly when a hearing is approaching.
But CASA advocacy is designed to fit into the lives of everyday people with jobs, families, and responsibilities of their own.
And something interesting happens: many of our advocates begin by wondering if they have enough time to give. Once they build a relationship with their child, they often find themselves wanting to give more.
You do not have to give all of your time. You just have to give some of it to a child who needs you.
